2.4Ghz 4ch V262 Big Size UFO Quadcopter with Gyro,December 2, 2013

Living room 11 foot square (I live in a very small house). V262 Quad is 2 foot square. Right out of the box flew 8 minutes on the first charge and not one problem. Keeps a small footprint for the entire 8 minute flight! WLToys has a clip on/plug-in camera that is controlled from the transmitter. An accessory I hope to see available from ThinkRC soon!!

The delivery and packaging from ThinkRC was a 10 out of 10! It only took 5 days ground shipping from order date to front door! Accolades to ThinkRC!

Flying this quad outside is a dream! The v262 was stable and not difficult to fly in variable winds of 10-15mph. Based on two "entry" level foam protected Quads at the same price point there is no comparison! The v262 is far superior in every way! From the Transmitter with the LCD display showing all vital settings, to the white LED front lights to the flashing blue/red rear lights with on/off on the radio this Quad is a step above! I highly recommend the v262 Quad over any others I've owned/flown at this price point! Believe that!!

2 Thumbs Up!,January 6, 2014
By Paul
I gave this to my 14 year old son for Christmas and he loved it! This is his first quadcopter and of course...the first thing he wanted to do is attach his Iphone to it for video recording, Ha. It took him about 1 hr. of flight time inside to get to the point he was ready for the outdoor test (Saturday 1/4/14, south-west Michigan, a day before the big storm). Flying at the 80 level of control, he took off from the driveway. Great control till about 50 ft. up and in a pretty good wind, he flew over the neighbor's house and couldn't bring it back. We retrieved it a few houses away safe and sound.

For the money, you can't beat it!

Recommended quadcopter,December 30, 2013
By mr_deeds
I bought this for my son (age 11) as a gift based on reviews and videos seen elsewhere, and am very happy with the product and the quick shipping from ThinkRC.

This is our first quad copter. My son has flown mini dual-rotor helicopters and my wife & I were looking for something more exciting for him (larger range) yet also easy to fly. This is a very good product at this price point. The foam guard gives some peace of mind against damage and we like how it looks -- kind of menacing, with the green like eyes.

Before flying, we put a small drop of oil on the motor and rotor bushings and broke in the motors at low speeds and without the rotors for maybe ten minutes -- nothing fancy, just seating the brushes a little.

The reasons I rate it as four stars instead of five is that one of the motors lags behind the others when starting and the lousy manual. Neither are a big deal. We found that it's easier to trim the copter with two people -- I'll adjust the trim while my son mans the controls. After the trim is set, it flies fine. As for the manual, we are very much beginners, so we need a little more help.

Once my son becomes more capable, we plan on removing the foam guard and mounting a camera underneath. I've seen where this carries a GoPro with the foam, so maybe we don't need to remove it. But we are very much looking forward to that. And I expect that we may need to replace motors or other parts.

Again, we think this is a great entry point to this hobby. Very quick learning curve, and this product gives some room to grow. Thanks, ThinkRC!

Great beginner quad,January 28, 2014
By brad
First quad I have ever owned. Very easy to fly. Takes three or four flights to get the hang of it. I have already got it stuck in a tree, hit buildings, crashed many times. Not one problem. Flies for about 8min. Takes little over an hour to charge. I would recommend buying an upgraded battery or two. I think it comes with 650 you can get 1000,1500, or 2000mah.

WL v262 Quadcopter Fun,January 9, 2014
By Ore Setsero
Great buy, especially when it was sold out everywhere else! Its been fun so far, can't wait to add a larger battery for more flight time. I think the 850mah battery it comes with doesn't really last too long. Besides that it has plenty of power, flies straight up in seconds, have used it at least 6 times, very hard to mess up, you have a lot of control, even with extremely bad windy conditions. I was able to bring it in safely each time. Have never crashed it and it's my first quad so definitely great for learning.

Very good product for a beginner like me.,March 11, 2014
By Chad
Crash it into buildings, road signs, walls and this thing just keeps going. The only drawback is short battery life. Other than that it's a great product for the price! The foam body is what makes the difference. All other quad rotors that I've flown without guards around the rotor will inevitably split the carbon fiber tubes that house the wiring to the motors, leading to complex repairs. The foam body prevents that. Makes for worry-free flying!

Wltoy v262,December 26, 2013
By Stryker
I have the parrot but I wanted the V262 because it has all the modifications that the parrot is missing. However the instructions are lacking in clarity. It took me quite a while to figure out how to plug the battery into place ( thanks to a youtube video) I was able to figure it out. Also able to figure out how to launch the quad. Love the way she handles. Have an emmerson sports cam that will be added to it. From an earlier post I'm given to understand one of the existing wires will connect to the camera, that would be helpful. Also I'm given to believe that the body of the craft can come off and just a smaller shell can be placed over it instead but I can't seem to see how that is possible. Anybody out their have done that let me know how you did it... Thanks and Merry Christmas.
